■ SBT (Science Based Targets):
The international climate change initiative SBTi was established by international environmental NGOs such as CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project), UNGC (United Nations Global Compact), WRI (World Resources Institute), and WWF (World Wildlife Fund). It validates and certifies that a company's greenhouse gas reduction goals comply with the objectives of the 2015 Paris Agreement, such as "keeping global temperature rise below 2°C compared to pre-industrial levels," and are scientifically sound.

■ RE100 (Renewable Electricity 100%):
An environmental initiative run by the international environmental NGO, the Climate Group, in partnership with CDP. Enterprises which aim to convert 100% of the electricity used in business activities to renewable energy sources join RE100.

■ Scopes 1, 2, 3:
Scope 1: Direct greenhouse gas emissions from fuel use within the company.
Scope 2: Indirect greenhouse gas emissions from the use of purchased electricity and heat.
Scope 3: Indirect greenhouse gas emissions from the entire supply chain of the company (excluding Scopes 1 and 2).
